Overview
Drive Scale Media LLC ("Drive Scale Media", "we", "us") operates a performance marketing network that connects publishers who generate consumer interest with advertisers who purchase it. This policy covers our website at drivescalemedia.com, our partner dashboards, and the lead generation campaigns we run on behalf of advertisers.
Because our business involves moving consumer information between parties, we try to be specific about the role we play. In most cases we act as a service provider or intermediary for the advertiser who ultimately receives the lead. In some cases we act as a business in our own right. Each section below notes which applies.
Information We Collect
Information consumers submit
When a consumer completes a form on a campaign we operate or that one of our publishers operates, we may receive:
- Name, postal address, email address and telephone number
- Information relevant to the enquiry, such as coverage type, property details, vehicle details, employment status or approximate debt range
- The date, time and originating page of the submission
- The consent language presented and a record that it was accepted
- A certificate or session recording from a third-party consent verification provider
Information partners provide
Publishers and advertisers who apply to the network provide business contact details, company information, tax and payment details, and traffic source descriptions.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type, operating system and device identifiers
- Referring URL, pages viewed and time spent
- Campaign, source and sub-ID parameters used for attribution
How We Use Information
- Delivering leads. Matching a consumer enquiry to advertisers who offer the product or service requested.
- Quality and fraud control. Validating contact details, detecting duplicate or automated submissions, and screening traffic against our quality filters.
- Consent verification. Retaining proof that a consumer agreed to be contacted, which we may need to produce in a dispute or regulatory enquiry.
- Attribution and payment. Crediting the correct publisher and calculating amounts owed.
- Operating the business. Partner support, accounting, security monitoring and improving our services.
- Legal obligations. Responding to lawful requests and enforcing our agreements.
How We Share Information
With advertisers and buyers
The core of our service is transmitting a consumer enquiry to one or more advertisers who can fulfil it. Once a lead is delivered, the receiving advertiser becomes an independent controller of that information and handles it under its own privacy policy. We cannot control, and are not responsible for, how an advertiser uses information after delivery.
With service providers
We use vendors for hosting, telephony, email delivery, consent verification, data hygiene, analytics and payment processing. They are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us.
For legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information where required by law, to respond to legal process, to investigate suspected fraud or abuse of the network, or to protect the rights and safety of Drive Scale Media, our partners or the public.
In a business transfer
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell consumer information to parties unrelated to the request a consumer submitted. Under some state laws, delivering a lead to an advertiser may still be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. The opt-out described below applies regardless of how the activity is classified.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, web beacons and similar technologies to measure campaign performance, attribute conversions to the correct publisher and detect invalid traffic.
- Strictly necessary. Session handling, security and fraud prevention.
- Analytics. Aggregate reporting on how pages and campaigns perform.
- Attribution. Click identifiers and sub-ID parameters used to credit a publisher for a conversion.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may prevent parts of our partner dashboards from working. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where our systems receive them.
Data Retention
We keep information only as long as we have a reason to hold it:
- Lead records and the associated consent evidence are retained for the period needed to resolve disputes and meet regulatory expectations, typically five years.
- Partner account and financial records are retained as required by tax and accounting rules.
- Technical logs are retained on a rolling short-term basis for security and fraud investigation.
When a retention period ends, we delete the information or de-identify it so it can no longer be linked to an individual.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it
- Request a copy of that information in a portable format
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Request deletion, subject to our legal and record-keeping obligations
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
To make a request, email privacy@drivescalemedia.com with enough detail for us to locate your record — ideally the phone number or email address used on the form, and the approximate date. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires.
You may use an authorised agent to submit a request. We will ask for written proof of their authority.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, or of targeted advertising, email privacy@drivescalemedia.com with the subject line "Opt Out" and include the phone number and email address you used.
An opt-out stops future transmission of your information by Drive Scale Media. It does not reach advertisers who already received your enquiry — you will need to contact them directly, and we will tell you who they were if you ask.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls based on job role, network monitoring and periodic review of our vendors. Partner access to lead data is scoped to the campaigns a partner is actually running.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
Children
Our services are directed at businesses and at adult consumers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact privacy@drivescalemedia.com and we will delete it.
International Users
Drive Scale Media operates from the United States and our campaigns are aimed at United States consumers. If you access our site from elsewhere, you are transferring information to the United States, where data protection law differs from that of your home country.
Changes to This Policy
We update this policy as our services and the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
